Deuce Days in Victoria: Hot Rod Heaven

Deuce Days in Victoria: Hot Rod Heaven

For one July weekend every three years, Victoria’s Inner Harbour roars to life with growls of vintage V8 engines and gleaming polished chrome. It's a special weekend when car enthusiasts from across the globe come to relish in one of the world’s largest gatherings highlighting 1932 Ford hot rods and many different types of pre-1952 classics. And after three quiet years, this weekend of pure Hot Rod Heaven and nostalgia is back in town in a big-make that VERY BIG-way…

Welcome to Northwest Deuce Days, 2025!

Deuce Days is the brainchild of local car enthusiast Al Clark, who wanted to create a tribute to the iconic 1932 Ford, affectionately called the “Deuce.” What started as a small grassroots gathering at a local park featuring 150 vintage cars in 1998, has grown into an internationally renowned event that’s hosted (since 2004) in the Inner Harbour.

Beginning this Friday (July 18th) over 1,300 classic cars from the pre-1952 era will line the streets of Victoria, most notably the Inner Harbour area. It’s quite a sight to see!

But these machines are more than just cars; they’re rolling works of art, each built with painstaking detail and personal flair from committed owners who have travelled far and wide to show them off. Owners and enthusiasts are coming from across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and even New Zealand to take part in the event.

But Deuce Days is more than just cars; it’s about community. Organizers expect over 100,000 visitors to flood into Victoria over the weekend, drawn by the roar of engines and the rare chance to see these lovingly restored vehicles up close. Hotels book out months in advance, and for three days in July, the Inner Harbour transforms into a full-on festival zone.

While the heart of the action will be in Victoria’s Inner Harbour, classic cars will also line up shoulder to shoulder along Government Street, Belleville Street, on the Empress Hotel lawns, and all around the B.C. Legislature. Streets will be closed to traffic and open to foot traffic only; expect crowds, cameras, and classic rock echoing down the avenues.

But beyond the engines and the polished 52 Ford eye-candy, at its heart Deuce Days is about the connection between craftsmanship, nostalgia, and the stories that each car carries and that the owners are excited to share. You don’t need to know the difference between a flathead and a small block to appreciate the love and passion that’s poured into every vehicle on display.

Whether you're a die-hard hot rod aficionado, or just here for the sights, Deuce Days is a celebration of style, horsepower, and history—revved up and ready to roll in beautiful downtown Victoria this weekend. Are you ready for it?

Start your engines!
